The Dallas Cowboys' signing of Aldon Smith has paid off so far, as the 30-year-old defensive end was conditionally reinstated by the NFL on Wednesday. This clears another hurdle for Smith, who has been out of the league since 2015 when he was suspended indefinitely for a series of DUI and other infringements. Smith was on track for a promising career before his suspension, racking up 33.5 sacks in his first two years in the league, in 2011 and 2012 more specifically.
In Houston Texan news, the team released the times and dates for all preseason games on Wednesday. The games are slated as follows:
- April 14 at the Minnesota Vikings.
- August 22 at home against the Seattle Seahawks
- August 29 at the New Orleans Saints
- And finally - September 3 at home against the Dallas Cowboys
The fallout has started regarding LeBron James' media company producing a documentary on the Houston Astros cheating scandal. Astros Infielder Alex Bregman has dropped his agent at Klutch Sports, which was founded by James' own agent, to find new representation, according to The Athletic. Four sources have confirmed to the outlet that these two events are indeed related.
